Gaspe Fly Company Heron Spey Hackle

Our friend Jean-François Tremblay at Gaspe Fly Company brings us these lovely heron plumes for tying classic steelhead and Atlantic salmon patterns. Each pack is dyed with colour fast premium dye so they retain their vivid colours. The fibres on each feather is long and thin so they provide considerable movement when fished. Though the stems are fine and thin so they wrap easy, we highly recommend that because these are a premium product, soaking them in water before tying will make them more pliable and reduce the risk of splitting. Each pack contains 12 feathers unless noted. Also note that the Fuchsia colour is identical to the Pink.
