The Lefty Kreh NXT rods epitomize what TFO is all about: high performance and value. With a composite cork grip which is more durable than a traditional cork grip, an easy loading medium-fast action blank starts the series. Add in a loaded NXT GL large arbor reel with line, leader, backing and a rod case and this kit can bring it all together to get you into the sport and start catching fish.

The rod blank is constructed from IM6 graphite blank with forest green finish. IM6 graphite means this rod is considerably lighter in weight and more sensitive than others so you feel everything that the fly tied to the end of your tippet encounters. It's constructed with TFO's blank over ferrule technology which is a method that makes for extremely tight tolerances. This produces a perfect fit between the sections in every rod and also guarantees a perfect fit in the event that a section needs to be replaced. This technology is used on all TFO fly rods. The aluminum alloy reel seat will stand up to a lifetime of wear. The grip is fashioned from a composition of cork and synthetics for durability. The stripping guides are high grade alloy and the remaining snake guides are chromed stainless steel.

The TFO NXT GL reel is loaded with a TFO First Cast weight forward fly line, backing, and a TFO 9' leader. All is included in a TFO pistol type rod and reel case. The NXT reel is spooled for left-hand retrieval however we can easily convert it to right-handed if you require this at no charge.
