Redington Trace Fly Rod

Redington took a serious look at their past to come up with fly rod for trout anglers in the present. The Trace is a no-bones-about-it workhorse type rod that doubles as a sophisticated and sensitive modern graphite rod that you'll find a pleasure to fish on both lake and stream. Redington built the medium-fast action Trace so that it would be capable of presenting flies with pin-point accuracy and allow you to track your backcast in line with your forward cast with ease due to it's pared down design which makes for a lighter, (only 2.8 ounces), and more sensitive rod.

They accomplished this by lacing it with single foot guides which means, less steel, less thread and less epoxy protecting the wraps. The grip is constructed of premium corks in a classic half wells which provides enough of a connection without the bulkiness of excessive cork laid down purely in the cause of what some might think is style. The blank itself is a dark mahogany colour and the dark wood reel seat adds classic appeal, and the male end of the ferrules are epoxy-coated to prevent sticking. It comes with a durable cordura rod tube with sewn-in section dividers and has a lifetime warranty.
