Superfly Ostrich

Ostrich provides many qualities desirable in fly tying. The herls are often used to dress butts on Atlantic salmon flies. Ostrich herl can be tied onto patterns as a tail in place of Marabou. The herl produces a life-like movement underwater. It can also be used to imitate the delicate gills of nymphs.
