Veniard Ringneck Pheasant Rump - Natural Brown

It seems to be really hard to find the nice chestnut brown colouring that we used to see in ringneck pheasant feathers. These were required for BC waters because you just couldn't head off to the interior without a bunch of Carey's Specials that used the nice brown feathers for the sweeping hackles that made this fly so successful. The darker brown comes from older birds who have reached their maturity and are in full glory with their splendid colouration. Most feathers now in the market come from younger 'greener' birds so finding these was a real treat for us. Veniard hand selects these. They are a rich brown colour and longer than the standard we now see.
